Organise and build a set

Filter your library, tag set roles, let Algo suggest the rest, and see the energy flow.

Draft: this guide is still being checked against the live app.

Goal: A crate that fits your slot, with set roles on your tracks.

Steps

  1. Filter. In the Selection Panel on the left (press ☰ Selection Panel if it is hidden), filter by BPM, key, energy, Rating, Luminosity and Intensity, roles or genre. This changes what you see, never the tracks.
  2. Tag set roles. On a track’s card, hover over the role row and click a role: opener, builder, climax, comedown or closer. Click it again to remove it.
  3. Let Algo suggest the rest. Deselect all tracks, open the 💬 Action Panel, and press Suggest Set Roles on Algo’s card. Algo learns from the roles you tagged and suggests roles for your other tracks.
  4. Check the suggestions. Suggested roles show faded on the cards. Left-click one to confirm it; right-click to remove it.
  5. See the energy flow. Open the Maps screen for the Energy Map.

Tips

  • The more tracks you tag by hand, the better the suggestions. A personal model starts after about 100 tagged tracks; before that, Algo uses a standard model.
  • A role you set by hand is never overridden by a suggestion.
  • If you don’t see Algo’s buttons in the Action Panel, Algo is not switched on for your account yet.

Algo helps here

On the same Algo card, Prepare a set drafts a pool of tracks from a brief you describe. It is an AI feature: it switches on per account, with your consent.
