AI is off by default
No AI feature in TrackBase runs for your account until you switch it on. During the alpha, each AI group needs two things: your consent in the app, and a grant from an admin for your account. Not every group is open to testers yet.
To switch a group on, open the AI button in the TrackBase header, read the notice, confirm you are 18 or older and press I agree.
The three AI groups
Classification. Helps sort and research your tracks: energy, structure and territory, artist names, labels and credits. When it is on, TrackBase sends your track details (artist, title, version, label, source link and other metadata), including the audio file, to Google Gemini, and search terms to Tavily.
Assistant. Ask, Describe, Recommend, Custom Filter, Set Builder and Find Track. When it is on, what you type, plus the track details needed to answer (artist, title and metadata from a limited part of your library), is sent to Google Gemini, and search terms to Tavily. AI answers can be wrong.
Track identification. Identifies unknown files. When it is on, TrackBase sends an audio fingerprint, not the audio itself, to Apple’s Shazam service. It uses an unofficial client that Apple has not authorised; it may stop working and will be replaced before beta.
These services are outside Brazil, including in the United States, and may keep the data for a limited time under their own terms.
What is not sent
No account identifier is sent with classification or track identification requests. Please don’t put personal information in titles, tags or notes, or type personal information about yourself or anyone else into the assistant.
What stays inside TrackBase
Track analysis, learned set-role suggestions, readiness advice and the Energy Map run on RocknHouse’s own services, with no outside AI service involved.
Switching it off
Every group has a Turn off button in the app. Sending stops at once. To switch it on again you give consent again, and an admin grants it again.
Credits
TrackBase is free during the alpha. Some AI features are metered in RocknHouse Credits; there are no prices during the alpha.
Deleting your data
Our logs are deleted within 30 days. You can ask us to delete your data at any time; the address for those requests will be published here before AI features open to testers. We keep a record of your consent for up to five years after your access ends.
Who can use AI features
AI features are for people aged 18 and over, in a closed alpha test.
